Diagnosed with autism, Dr. Grandin’s life has taken her on a journey to be a prominent author and speaker on both autism and animal behavior. Her passion also embraces education, and learning to live with autism. Among her famous quotes are “I am different, not less. If I could snap my fingers and be non-autistic, I would not. Autism is part of what I am.”
Dr. Grandin’s advocacy for autism lends itself to “Social thinking skills must be directly taught to children and adults with ASD. Doing so opens doors of social understandings in all areas of life.”
