DJ MARLEY

SATURDAY, JANUARY 22
3 & 6 PM

DJ Marley, better known as Marley Desinord, is from Pompano Beach, Florida. She began Dj'ing at just the age of 7 years old when she was only in the 2nd grade. Marley wanted to become a DJ after seeing DJs set up outside of the Dolphin Stadiums before home games playing music during tailgates. She would be the people dance and have fun so that sparked her interest.

She begged her father for weeks and weeks to get her a beginner's DJ set and he finally relented and bought it. With an old Mac laptop and a beginner's controller, Marley started watching how-to-Dj YouTube videos with her dad and from there she started. She would spend hours playing. She then began making videos of her mixes and put them on Instagram. That started getting more and more people following her on Instagram and Twitter.

Marley made a "90s Hip Hop" mix that caught the attention of Tom Garfinkel CEO of the Miami Dolphins. He asked her to perform half-time of the Baltimore Ravens vs. Miami Dolphins preseason game in August of 2018. And from there she has never looked back. She has performed for the Miami Heat, worked with DJ Khaled, opened up for The Black Eyed Peas in June of 2021 in Miami.

Throughout much of her success, she stays humble and wants to be an example to little girls all over the country, that they can be anything they want to be, even at the tender age of 7.

AMERICANA JONES

Americana Jones at the 2022 South Florida Fair

SATURDAY, JANUARY 22
8:30 PM

Americana Jones is Roots Country, Country Rock and Americana Music. We come from various cities in Palm Beach County, Florida.

Al Johnson (vocals, guitar, harmonica)

Al spent 16 years on the road with the North Star Band and The Pheromones in the 70‘s and 80’s. His bands recorded and released 8 albums over the years. Best known for his songs, Redneck Hippie and Yuppie Drone, Al settled in Florida and now sings, plays guitar and harmonica, and provides musical direction for the band.

Cori Spring (vocals, tambourine, shaker)

Cori began singing in local musical theater productions and soon gained a reputation as one of the area’s top female vocalists. Whether she’s performing songs by Bonnie Raitt, Miranda Lambert, or Etta James, Cori’s stellar vocals are a highlight of the band.

Mike Barker (vocals, bass guitar)

Mike played bass guitar in his early years in garage bands and was a journeyman guitar player for many years until he joined Ron and Al to form Americana Jones in 2011. A singer-songwriter, Mike keeps the engine running on time with his stay-at-home bass riffs.

Ron Harbison (vocals, lead guitar)

Ron plays electric guitar, sings and writes. As a life-long student of music, Ron reaches out to his friends in Nashville and is constantly introducing new and unusual guitar licks into the band’s repertoire with styles ranging from Chet Atkins to Danny Gatton and Guthrie Trapp. He’s been producing Nashville songwriter shows for over 20 years . . . and playing for over 50.

Ian Coyle (DRUMS)

JP SOARS & THE RED HOTS

MONDAY, JANUARY 24
SENIOR DAY
7 PM

Playing the blues not only requires diligence and dedication, but also an inherent sense of purpose and passion. Guitarist and vocalist J.P. Soars knows those instincts all too well, having been imbued with absolute enthusiasm for the form. It’s not only steered his muse ever since, but also brought him to the heights of success and wide recognition. A first place winner of the Blues Foundation 2009 International Blues Challenge, the Albert King Best Guitarist Award, any number of Blues Music nominations as Best Contemporary Male Blues Artist, and a nod for Best Blues Album, he’s been the recipient of continuing critical kudos, extensive worldwide airplay and sales that have elevated him to the uppermost rungs of every major Blues chart.

Of course, Soars and his powerhouse trio the Red Hots — including drummer Chris Peet and bassist Cleveland Fredrick — are no strangers to live performance either. Soars and Peet have played together for the past 16 years, while Fredrick, “the new guy,” has been with the band since 2016. They’ve proven their mettle on stages both nationally and internationally, played blues festivals from Belgium to Brazil, and shared stages with the likes of Buddy Guy, Joe Bonamassa. Brian Setzer and Larry Graham.

With the addition of west coast studio and performance percussionist Robert John Tucker, who’s recorded, and toured with national artists, they were transformed into an acoustic power trio.
