Attention Youth Market Steer Exhibitors
As we head into Fair week, please review Rule & Regulation #8 in the South Florida Fair Premium Book for steers to ensure you’re fully prepared for final weigh-in:
  • Exhibitors must be present at final weigh-in and walk steers to the scales
  • A health certificate & CVI signed by a veterinarian is required
    • Must state all milk teeth are in place
    • Dated no more than 30 days prior to weigh-in
  • The designated South Florida Fair ear tag must be clean, visible, and listed on the health certificate
  • Health certificate must also include the federal premise identification
  • Mandatory steer ultrasound will take place Thursday, January 15, 2026, following Hog weigh-in

Important Dates

  • August 1, 2025:

    Online entries open for steers ONLY; entries close at 11:59 p.m. September 9, 2025.

  • September 3, 2025:

    Online entries open for pullets; entries close at 11:59 p.m. September 30, 2025.

  • September 15, 2025:

    Online entries open for market hogs; entries close at 11:59 p.m. October 15, 2025.

  • October 1, 2025:

    Online entries open for all other species (dairy goats, beef, dairy, jackpots, poultry and rabbits); entries close at 11:59 p.m. December 13, 2025.

MANDATORY WORK DAYS:

• Saturday, December 13, 2025 and Saturday, January 10, 2026, 9 a.m.-Noon at the Kubota AGZone.

Youth Livestock/poultry/rabbit exhibitors from Palm Beach, Broward, Hendry, Martin & Okeechobee Counties must work one of the work days. All other exhibitors must participate in workdays during the Fair.

Pre-registration is required. Registration is limited.
