Join in the fun and experience of raising and showing pullets as part of the South Florida Fair’s youth livestock program. The program engages youth in learning life skills while having fun raising chickens. Exhibitors should start chicks in a brooder (warm and protective environment) and move them into a coop as they get older. Exhibitors should also keep pullets safe from adverse weather events, pets and predators.

Pullet program ages are 5–18 years old. Age groups are: Pee Wee: 5–7 years old; Junior: 8–11 years old; Intermediate: 12–14 years old; Senior: 15–18 years old. Ethics training and numbers are not required for 5–7 year olds, only for 8–18 year old exhibitors.
