2027 Record Books

Attention Youth:

2027 Fair dates are January 15 - 31.

Youth Project Record Books must be completed and turned in according to the rules that govern your species. Failure to do so, may disqualify exhibitors from showing and will be determined by the Livestock Committee.

It is important that each section of these Record Books be complete and accurate. If the exhibitor chooses to not complete any section of the Record Book, judging points will be deducted and will be reflected in placing.

2027 YOUTH DAIRY GOAT RECORD BOOK

IMPORTANT:

Failure to participate in Mandatory Poster Contest, Record Book Completion and Showmanship automatically disqualifies the exhibitor from the Youth Show. Posters, Record Books and Showmanship must be pre-entered through ShoWorks by the entry deadline.

o Follow all rules in the record book.

2027 PULLET PROJECT RECORD BOOK

Your Record Book is to be presented to the Pullet Committee for verification prior to unloading and check-in of Pullets, showing completion of all required sections, except for the Project Revenue on Page 9 and the Project Balance Sheet on Page 11. Which details the market auction price, buyer(s), total fair income and project profit or loss. These sections must be completed and the record book turned in within 30 minutes following the sale of the final Pullet Trio in the Youth Sell-A-Bration of Champions Youth Market Auction.

RECORD BOOKS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE ALLOTED TIME, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Record Book completion and verification is required/mandatory whether the exhibitor decides to sell their Pullets in the Youth Sell-A-Bration of Champions Youth Market Auction or NOT.

If an exhibitor and/or animal is disqualified for ANY reason, prior to, during and/or after show and sale, and/or FAILURE to turn in record book within the allotted time frame, it will result in forfeiture of all show and sale premiums and payouts as well as a minimum fine of $250.00 and up to a maximum fine of receiving industry market value for your Pullets. Upon disqualification of any sort, it will be at the discretion of the Pullet Committee as to the consequences.

PULLET PROJECT RECORD BOOKS ARE TO BE PRESENTED IN THE ORIGINAL BOOK PROVIDED BY THE SOUTH FLORIDA FAIR AT PULLET PICK UP. NO BINDERS, FOLDERS OR DOWNLOADED BOOKS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

No animal is permitted to unload/enter tent until the Record Book has been verified by the Committee



2027 MARKET STEER & MARKET HOG RECORD BOOK

IMPORTANT:

No animal is permitted to unload until Record Book has been verified.

It is required that the exhibitor and parent/guardian sign the drug-free certification form in the Livestock Record Book at check-in prior to the Fair’s acceptance for show and sale.

MARKET STEER RECORD BOOK RULES

STEER EXHIBITORS: Your Record Book is to be presented to the Steer Committee for verification prior to the unloading and final weigh-in of steer, showing completion of all required sections, except for the Project Revenue Declarations, Page 8, and the Project Summary, Page 10 which detail the final weight and the market auction price and buyer(s). These sections must be completed and the record book turned in within 30 minutes following the sale of the final steer in the Sell-A-Bration of Champions Youth Livestock Market Auction.

RECORD BOOKS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE ALLOTTED TIME, NO EXCEPTIONS.

If an exhibitor or animal is disqualified for ANY reason, prior to, during and/or after show and sale, and/or FAILURE to turn in record books within the allotted time, it will result in forfeiture of all show and sale premiums and payouts as well as a minimum fine of $500.00 and up to a maximum fine of receiving RAIL price for your animal. Upon disqualification of any sort, it will be at the discretion of the Steer Committee as to the consequences.

Steer & Hog Record books are to be the original book provided by the South Florida Fair. NO BINDERS, FOLDERS OR DOWNLOADED BOOKS WIL BE ACCEPTED.


MARKET HOG RECORD BOOK RULES

HOG EXHIBITORS: Your Record Book is to be presented to the Hog Committee for verification prior to the unloading and final weigh-in of hog, showing completion of all required sections, except for the Project Revenue Declarations, Page 8, and the Project Summary, Page 1O which detail the final weight and the market auction price and buyer(s). These sections must be completed and the record book turned in within 30 minutes following the sale of the final hog in the Sell-A-Bration of Champions Youth Livestock Market Auction.

RECORD BOOKS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE ALLOTTED TIME, NO EXCEPTIONS.

If an exhibitor or animal is disqualified for ANY reason, prior to, during and/or after show and sale, and/or FAILURE to turn in record books within the allotted time, it will result in forfeiture of all show and sale premiums and payouts as well as a minimum fine of $500.00 and up to a maximum fine of receiving RAIL price for your animal. NOTE:

We recommend that exhibitors print off a copy of this record book to use as a “working copy” but submit the book that you received.
