2023 Fair Theme: Dino-Myte

WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE?
All-new and different activities and experiences each year! Since 1993, the themed expositions produced every year during the South Florida Fair are one of the most popular attractions of the 17-day event.

Every January since 1912, you've come to expect 17 fun filled days at the South Florida Fair, where you also get to experience educational and interactive exhibits at historic Yesteryear Village, and Livestock exhibits at our award winning Agriplex.

The 2023 Fair themed exposition will feature some of the most fascinating pre-historic creatures to ever walk the face of the earth. From the mighty T-Rex to the tiny Raptor, you can get up-close-and-personal and discover what it would have been like to walk alongside these amazing beings! Related educational exhibits, interactive displays and entertainment will make the Fair a DINO-MYTE place to be!

MR. ADLER & HIS BABY DINOSAURS

Be on the lookout for Mr. Adler, an experienced paleontologist who loves to take his babies for a stroll around the Fair! Your children will love to meet and touch his baby dinos!

MOBILE MUSEUM

Explore the amazing world of dinosaurs and learn some fascinating facts about fossils - hands-on!

Learn about dinosaur anatomy, study their behavior, discover different types of eggs and nests, touch a real fossil, and so much more!

DINO ENCOUNTERS EXCAVATION ZONE

Visit Dino Encounters Excavation Zone in Yesteryear Village for a hands on interactive experience!

JURASSIC KINGDOM DINOSAUR SHOW

Since 2014 Jurassic Kingdom has been one of the most beloved shows in the fair, and festival industry.

Host Miss Kala opens the show with an introduction that sends the audience back in time. Following, you'll learn about various fossils that introduce the dinosaurs:

Terry- the talking, comical Pterodactyl
Jack- a 2 month old Brontosaurus
Sarah- a new born Triceratops
Lucy- 5 year old full grown Velociraptor
Sparky- 2 year old T-Rex

Not only you'll get to see life like dinosaurs in action, you will also have the opportunity to touch, and interact with them throughout the show.

ASK THE EXPERT!

Robert DePalma is a vertebrate paleontologist and native Floridian who focuses on ancient life of the late Cretaceous, the Chicxulub asteroid impact, and the evolution of theropod dinosaurs. His passionate fascination with the past, and interest in fossils, osteology, and exploration, began at a very young age, visiting the local Science Museum in West Palm Beach and formally kicked off when he started working for the Florida Museum of Natural History prep lab at age 14.
He is currently an Adjunct Professor in the Geosciences Department of Florida Atlantic University and Postgraduate Researcher at the University of Manchester Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences. Robert’s work and collaborative research has been featured on network TV programs, National Geographic Channel, BBC, Discovery and PBS to name a few. His work and discoveries continue to be shared globally.

Visit the Cox Science Museum and Aquarium booth and learn about their Dinosaur Explorer exhibit on display now until April 30th, 2023!

Travel back in time and discover what modern paleontology knows about the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods by exploring a series of dynamic displays featuring animatronic dinosaurs! Despite the fact these magnificent creatures lived millions of years before us, paleontologists believe dinosaurs share many things in common with humankind. From feeding to family dynamics, intelligence or interpersonal relationships, Dinosaur Explorer examines the ways that environmental, biological and behavioral circumstances influenced dinosaur daily life while posing the question – Where do we see similarities in our world today

Our daily parades are back! Enjoy our custom floats straight from New Orleans, and get ready to catch lots of beads!

With five stages of music and entertainment, world-class stage performances daily, an award-winning agriculture and livestock program featuring over 1,000 exhibitors from more than 30 Florida counties, a historic Yesteryear Village, and more than 200 rides, games and attractions, the South Florida Fair is truly a place where families make memories and traditions remain.

MINORS POLICY - BE ADVISED

On Friday and Saturday nights after 8:00 p.m., all guests under 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian 21 or older whenentering the Fair. MAXIMUM OF SIX MINORSPER GUARDIAN. Purchase of admission AND ride wristband is required for entry for guests ages 6-17.Advance ride vouchers will be accepted.
