There will a new event literally brewing at the 2019 South Florida Fair — the Inaugural Craft Brew Fest & Home Brew Competition.
Held one day only, Sunday, Jan. 27, in the fair’s Party Pavilion, the event is being held in partnership with the Angler Action Foundation and Due South Brewing Co.
Open exclusively to home brewers, local brew masters will begin judging at 1 p.m. This is a Best of Show competition. Medals will be awarded to the first, second, and third place prizes along with additional prizes.
The doors will open to the public at 3 p.m. To enter, a separate ticket is needed in addition to a fair ticket, which is required.
Advance discount general admission tickets are available through midnight, Friday, Jan. 25, below, for $20 and $40 for VIP admission. At the door, general admission tickets are $30 and $50 for VIP tickets.
VIP ticket holders will be able to enter at 2 p.m. to sample the contestants’ concoctions, view the judging process and they’ll receive a pretzel necklace. VIP tickets are limited to the first 250 buyers.
