Hello Spring Breakers! Come on down to Yesteryear Village at the South Florida Fairgrounds for our Living History Spring Family Frolic. All week long we'll have fun activities and special events for the whole family to enjoy. From arts and crafts to demonstrations, it'll be a great way to kick start the Spring season!


Friday March 24th: The Prospect Fire truck's 100th Birthday Celebration

  • Fire hose tug of war (Water activity, a change of clothes is recommended)
  • Water bucket relay (Water activity, a change of clothes is recommended)
  • Giddy up & stick horse races
  • Try on fire uniforms & make a firefighter hat
  • Musical fence
  • Florida Crystals Sugar mill presentation
  • PBC Fire Rescue Demonstartions 11:00-1:00pm
  • Cake walk @ 11:00AM
  • Congress Middle School cheerleaders' performance (12:00PM and 2:00PM)
  • Prospect's birthday celebration @1:00PM
Kona ice and Colorado Coffee will be on site Friday, March 24th.

Saturday March 25th: Women's Appreciation Fun Day

  • Highwaymen exhibit and sale at the Bink Glisson Museum
  • Meet Kandi Ingram, daughter of the late Mary Ann Carroll "First Lady of the Highwaymen"
  • Meet Doretha Hair, the founding member and president of the Highwaymen Museum and widow of Alfred Hair, one of the Highwaymen Artist
  • Meet Curtis Arnett, one of the Highwaymen Artist
  • Barefoot mailman presentation
  • Musical fence
  • Join the Girl Scouts for fun activities!
  • Milking the cow race
  • Stick horse races
  • Additional celebration of The Prospect fire truck's 100th birthday
  • Cake walk @ 11:00AM
Colorado Coffee will be on site Thursday, March 23rd.

***Activities subject to change, demonstrations end daily at 2:00PM***

Picnic lunches are encouraged.


$10 adults, $7 seniors 60+, $7 children (6-11 yrs. old), 5 and under, free.

Groups of (10) or more from schools/homeschools-regular School Exploration prices

$5 per student $10 per adult.
