2008 CONTESTS
POSTER CONTEST
Theme: Poultry related, can include
exotics and waterfowl.
Size: Standard poster size.
Ages: 5 - 7, 8 - 10, 11 - 12, 13 -
17, 18 and over.
One poster per club with posters due at Poultry check-in.
Contest open to exhibitors, poultry club members, and
4-Hers. Winning posters to be displayed in the Poultry
exhibit. Name and age MUST be placed on back of poster.
YOUTH POULTRY SHOWMANSHIP
Date: January 26, 2008 at 4:00 p.m.
Poultry must be entered in the South Florida Fair Poultry
exhibit and be owned by the exhibitor. Exhibitor will
be judged on a point scale based on handling, knowledge
and appearance.
AGES: 5 - 10, 11 - 14, 15 - 18
You must sign up for the Showmanship competition on
your poultry registration. The highest score of each
age group will receive a $25.00 premium provided by
the Palm Beach County Poultry Fanciers Association.
The bird must be entered in the Poultry Standard of
Perfection. Premiums will be awarded in each age group.
Place of event to be announced at check-in.
4-H POULTRY AND TURKEY BAR-BE-QUE CONTEST
Date: January 27, 2008
Time: 1:00 p.m.
Place: Palm Oasis (Park area in front of Poultry Tent)
Ages: 10 years and up
Deadline for registration: January 25, 2008.
Must have attended the December County Council
Food Safety seminar.
PHOTO CONTEST
Must be Poultry related. Open to all ages. Due at check-in.
Awards will be given.
BEST DECORATED FLOOR CAGE
Must be maintenance-free for 17 days.

Open to all youth with a rooster entered in the show.
The Richard Greggs Memorial Trophy
The Palm Beach County Poultry Fanciers Association
is proud to present the Richard Greggs Memorial
Trophy in honor of Richard, who gave his time and
vast talents to the Association, the Fair, and the
Community.
The trophy will be awarded for:
“Best Production”
“Rhode Island Red”
