RULES & REGULATIONS:
All entries in the Dairy Cattle Department shall be subject to the general rules and regulations published in the Premium Book.
Eligibility:
All registered Dairy Cattle must be registered with their respective national breed association. Papers pending will not be accepted if registration papers are not available.
Attention youth, you MUST have attended the MANDATORY YOUTH LIVESTOCK SHOW ETHICS AND ANIMAL CARE WORKSHOP in order to show an animal at the 2008 South Florida Fair. Click here for more information
Entries: ENTRIES DUE DECEMBER 1st
1. Must use separate form for each breed and/or owner. Separate Entry Form for Open and Youth.
2. Entry blanks must be filled out completely. You must enter Group Classes in advance, but it is not necessary to name the animals which make up your group or herd entries until after judging the individual classes. Entries in group and herd classes must have been exhibited previously in individual classes. Copies of registration and lease agreements must be attached to entry forms unpon mailing.
3. No more than 2 entries per class.
4. Exhibitors must clean all areas before release forms will be issued by the Barn Superintendent.
5. There must be a minimum of five (5) animals before a Grand Champion will be declared.
6. No Dogs in Tent.
7. MILKING TIMES WILL BE POSTED

1. Junior Heifer Calf: Born Sept 1 - Oct 31, 2007.
2. Intermediate Heifer Calf: Born June 1 - Aug 31, 2007.
3. Senior Heifer Calf: Born Mar 1 - May 31, 2007.
4. Winter Yearling: Born Dec 1, 2006 -Feb 28, 2007.
5. Junior Yearling: Born Sept 1 - Nov 30, 2006.
6. Summer Yearling: Born June 1 - Aug 31, 2006.
7. Senior Yearling: Born Mar 1 - May 31, 2006.
    (any Yearling in milk will be shown in two-year-old class)

9. Reserve Junior Champion
10. Junior Two Year Old: Born Sept 1, 2005 - Feb 28, 2006.
11. Senior Two Year Old Cows: Born Mar 1- Aug 31, 2005.
12. Three Year Old Cows: Born Mar 1, 2004 - Feb 28, 2005.
13. Four Year Old Cows: Born Mar 1, 2003 - Feb 28, 2004.
14. Five Year old Cows: Born March 1 2002 - Feb 28, 2003.
15. Aged Cow: Born before March 1, 2002.
16. Dry Cow Class: Any female that has had one or two lactations, is currently dry, and within 90 days of calving.

21. Dairy Herd: To consist of 4 cows that have freshened. All to be owned by exhibitor. Each exhibitor limited to 1 entry.
22. Best 3 Females: Any age, all are to be bred by and at least one animal currently owned by exhibitor. Each exhibitor limited to 1 entry.
23. Get-of-Sire: Four animals, the get-of-sire any age. The sire must be named. Animals may be owned by one or more exhibitors. Dam's Name & Registration Number.
24. Produce-of-Dam: Two animals any age the produce of one cow. Animals need not be owned by one exhibitor.
25. Daughter-Dam: 2 animals, dam and daughter, any age. Animals need not be owned by one exhibitor. Dam's Name & Registration Number.
