With a Gobble, a L’chaim and a Ho, Ho, Ho!
Turkeys, Dreidels, Stockings. The holiday season is filled with traditions that would seem weird if they weren’t so familiar. Decorating trees? Nine branches on a menorah to celebrate an eight day event? Oh, and that bearded elf with a sleigh pulled by flying reindeer? You gotta admit, that’s strange. So come celebrate the season as you and StoryMakers figure out how all this happened in the first place.

Traditional Christmas in the Village
DECEMBER 16

  • Visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus from 10 AM – 11 AM
  • Don’t forget your cameras! There will be plenty of photo ops
  • Local author Deborah Burggraaf will be at Yesteryear Village to read with children at 11 AM
  • Noon: Christmas music
  • Throughout the day, christmas crafts/make & take
  • Contest: best decorated Gingerbread house; school age participants only. Gingerbread houses must be delivered by 1 PM ~ no prior registration needed. Judging at 1:30 PM. Please take houses home after contest commences. Size: no larger than 12 x 12 x 12 x 12 (perfect “square”).

HOLIDAY HOURS

Closed Christmas Eve and Christmas day.
Closed New Year’s Eve and New Year’s day.

The park will be closed January 2-11, 2018 and will open to the public every day January 12-28, 2018 as part of the annual South Florida Fair.
